With more than 10 years of coaching experience in Europe and the United States in the fields of strengths-based leadership and talent development, she has worked with middle and upper-management in many industries, including IT, chemical, and banking. Ursula’s areas of expertise include leadership agility, transformational leadership development, building authentic transcultural competency, and leading through change. Her article “Coaching for Effective Leadership in the Multicultural Workplace: Application of the Situational Leadership® II Model” was published in Intercultural Management Quarterly (IMQ, 2010).
Ursula’s previous roles include being the manager of training and development at IOR Global Services in Chicago, where she developed and delivered intercultural business seminars for corporate clients. She also facilitated programs in intercultural communication, diversity, and ethics for the US National Institutes of Health and co-facilitated conflict-resolution workshops at Clark University in Massachusetts.
Ursula holds master’s degrees in communication from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Germany, and in intercultural relations from University of the Pacific in California. She holds a graduate certificate in administration and management from Harvard University and is a Professional Certified Coach through International Coach Federation.
Ursula Leitzmann approaches her work with a mindset of listening, questioning, and providing feedback while guiding clients through change to help them expand as leaders and move toward realizing their goals. Her powerful yet empathetic coaching style supports individuals in uncovering their blind spots, raising their self-awareness and compassion for others, and acquiring competencies to enhance their job performance and overall life satisfaction.

Ursula’s native language is German. She can also coach in English and speaks French at the conversational level. She lived in the United States for 13 years and now resides in Germany.
